This policy explains what the Making Easy Money Academy bot collects, why, and what control you have over it. It works alongside the Terms of Service.
What we store when you use the Academy
- Your Discord user ID and the server you’re using it in
- Your enrollment date
- Lesson progress: modules and lessons started and completed, and your resume point
- Quiz scores and attempts, daily challenge answers, XP, streaks, and badges
- How far you’ve listened in Daily Discipline audio
- Short-lived sign-in tokens for the Live Chart Lab Activity. These expire within minutes, and we keep only a scrambled (hashed) copy.
What we don’t collect
The Academy doesn’t read your DMs, and it never asks for your password, card, or bank details. When you open the Live Chart Lab, Discord only shares your basic Discord identity with us.
If you link a stockmarketloop.com account (optional)
When you use /link-sml, we store the link between your Discord ID and your website account. We also check your roles in this server, so your paid Discord membership unlocks the matching access on the website. Unlinking removes that access.
How we use it
We use your data to run the Academy for you: saving your progress, grading quizzes, awarding badges and streaks, resuming where you left off, and keeping the leaderboard fair. Your progress, scores, and quiz feedback are shown only to you, in private (ephemeral) messages. The public leaderboard, badge announcements, and Academy stats use your Discord name.
Who handles it
- Discord delivers the bot and the Activity.
- Render hosts our servers and database.
Market data providers supply chart prices and never receive your personal data. We do not sell your data, rent it, or use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep Academy records while you’re enrolled so your progress isn’t lost. Sign-in tokens expire within minutes. When you ask us to delete your data, we remove your Academy records, including progress, scores, badges, and resume point. We may keep a short record of moderation actions to prevent abuse.
Your choices
- See your own data at any time with
/progressand/badges. - Ask us for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion. Open a ticket in support ticket channel in the Making Easy Money Discord and include your Discord username.
- Leaving the server doesn’t delete your records automatically. Ask us if you want them removed.
Age
You must meet Discord’s minimum age to use the Academy. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under that age.
Changes
We’ll post any update on this page with a new effective date.
