This policy explains what Stockmarketloop.com (“Stockmarketloop,” “we,” “us”) collects, why, and what you can do about it.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us when you create an account

Stockmarketloop lets you sign in using a third-party account. When you do, we receive a limited set of information from that provider:

Facebook	Your Facebook account ID, email address (if confirmed on your Facebook account), display name, profile picture URL
Discord	Your Discord account ID, email address (if verified on Discord), username, avatar URL

We do not receive or store your password for any of these services. We never see it.

If your provider does not supply an email address — this happens with unconfirmed Facebook accounts and some others — your Stockmarketloop account is created without one.

Information you create by using the site

Posts you write in ticker streams and discussions
Daily sentiment votes (bullish/bearish) on individual tickers
Watchlists and saved tickers
Profile details you add or edit, including a banner image
Replies and inbox notifications

Information collected automatically

IP address, browser type, device type, operating system
Pages viewed, links clicked, time spent, referring site
Cookies and similar technologies (see section 4)

2. How we use it

To create and maintain your account, and to sign you in
To display your posts, votes, and profile to other users
To send notifications you have asked for (such as replies to your posts)
To operate, secure and improve the site, including detecting abuse and spam
To serve advertising (see section 5)
To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information.

3. What is public

Stockmarketloop is a social platform. The following are visible to anyone, including people who are not signed in and search engines:

Your display name and profile picture
Your posts in ticker streams and discussions
Your public profile page

Your email address is not displayed publicly. Your sentiment votes are shown only in aggregate, not attributed to you individually.

Please do not post anything in a public stream that you would not want indexed by a search engine.

4. Cookies

We use the following:

Strictly necessary

sml_session — keeps you signed in after you log in
sml_oauth — a short-lived cookie (about 10 minutes) used only during the sign-in redirect to protect against cross-site request forgery
WordPress session and login cookies

Analytics and advertising

Google Analytics / Google Tag Manager — measures how the site is used
Google AdSense — serves and measures advertising

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the strictly necessary cookies, you will not be able to stay signed in.

5. Advertising

We use Google AdSense to display advertising. Google and its partners may use cookies and device identifiers to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other sites.

You can opt out of personalized advertising from Google at https://adssettings.google.com, and from many other vendors at https://optout.aboutads.info.

6. Who we share information with

We share information only with:

Service providers who run the site on our behalf — hosting, database, email delivery, error monitoring — and only what they need to do that job
Advertising and analytics providers, as described in sections 4 and 5
Law enforcement or regulators, where we are legally required to, or where necessary to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public
A successor entity, if Stockmarketloop is acquired or merged, subject to this policy

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.

7. How long we keep it

Account information — for as long as your account exists
Posts and content — until you delete them, or your account is deleted
Server and access logs — typically up to 12 months
One-time sign-in codes — 60 seconds, then discarded

After account deletion, backups may retain data for a limited additional period before being overwritten in the normal backup cycle.

8. Your rights and choices

You can, at any time:

View and edit your profile from your account settings
Delete individual posts you have made
Delete your entire account — see section 9
Disconnect a sign-in provider, if you have more than one connected

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights — for example, under the EU/UK GDPR (access, correction, erasure, portability, objection, and the right to complain to a supervisory authority) or the California Consumer Privacy Act (know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale or sharing; we do not sell personal information).

To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

9. Deleting your account and data

To delete your account and associated personal data:

Sign in and go to your profile settings, then select Delete account, or
Email [email protected] from the address on your account with the subject “Delete my account”

We will delete your account, profile, watchlists and sentiment votes, and remove the link between you and your posts, within 30 days.

10. Security

We protect accounts using industry-standard measures including TLS encryption in transit, signed session tokens, and single-use, short-lived sign-in codes. We do not store passwords for third-party sign-in providers.

No system is perfectly secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us at [email protected] immediately.

11. Children

Stockmarketloop is not directed to children and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. International users

Stockmarketloop is operated from the United States. If you access it from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

13. Not investment advice

Content on Stockmarketloop — including posts, sentiment votes, leaderboards, and editorial articles — is market discussion and general information only. It is not investment advice, and it is not a recommendation to buy or sell any security. See our Terms of Service.

14. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced on the site. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
