Data Deletion Instructions
Last updated: July 26, 2026
This page explains how to delete your Stockmarketloop account and the data associated with it.
(Facebook requires every app using Facebook Login to publish a reachable page like this one. Meta will ask for this URL during app setup: https://stockmarketloop.com/data-deletion/)
Option 1 — Delete it yourself
- Sign in to Stockmarketloop
- Go to My Profile → Settings
- Select Delete account
- Confirm
Your account is deleted immediately.
Option 2 — Ask us to delete it
Email [email protected] from the email address on your account, with the subject line:
Delete my account
If your account has no email address on it (this can happen with some sign-in providers), include your Stockmarketloop username instead.
We will confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What gets deleted
- Your account record and profile
- Your name, email address, and profile picture
- The connection between your Stockmarketloop account and your Google, Facebook, or Discord account
- Your watchlists
- Your sentiment votes
- Your inbox and notifications
What happens to your posts
By default we remove your name from your posts rather than deleting the posts themselves, so that discussion threads other people took part in remain readable.
If you want your posts deleted outright as well, say so in your email and we will remove them.
What we may keep
- Backups — deleted data may remain in encrypted backups for a limited period before being overwritten in the normal backup cycle
- Records we are legally required to retain — for example where required by law or to resolve a dispute
- Aggregated statistics that cannot identify you
Removing Stockmarketloop from your sign-in provider
Deleting your Stockmarketloop account does not automatically revoke the app’s permission on the provider’s side. To remove that as well:
- Google — https://myaccount.google.com/permissions
- Facebook — Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites
- Discord — User Settings → Authorized Apps
