$BITX Just Swept the Stops. Is $21.34 the Next Stop?
Price visited the stops, collected them and came back. My read on what that sequence implies for 2x Bitcoin ETF.

Listen: hear this article read aloud (about 2 min).
Price in 2x Bitcoin ETF went where the stops were, then left. That isn't noise.
$BITX sits at $18.46, $2.88 below its 20-day high of $21.34 and $0.77 above its 20-day low of $17.69.
My read: neutral, waiting on confirmation. I want confirmation before I call a direction.
The stops that got taken
Against its own 60-session range, $BITX is 13.5% below the high of $21.34 (Oct 2) and 61.6% above the low of $11.42 (Jul 31).
$BITX closed higher in 7 of its last 9 sessions. Volume over the last five sessions averaged 0.8x the twenty sessions before them.
The largest one-day move in the past twenty sessions was -5.2% on Oct 7. Change of character up through $19.60 on the daily chart.
Liquidity sweep: price ran the lows at $17.95 and closed back inside the range.
What I make of it: stops sit at obvious levels, and a sweep shows they were collected. What price does next shows whether the move was a trap or a start.
What is already in the price
Off-exchange trading: QUIET: no block prints, 50% off-exchange. No block-size prints (10,000+ shares or $1M+) in this window. Off-exchange volume is spread across small prints, which is what internalized retail flow looks like. In options, dealers short gamma, call wall $21.00, put wall $17.00, gamma flip near $19.00, hedge pressure 0% of an average day's volume.
Days to cover 1.0, 7.3M shares short, short interest +7.3% since the last report. Squeeze risk 10 of 100; shorts pressing 41 of 100.
Across the broader market, the read is Neutral (bias -8).
Sentiment readings show bullish (75 of 100).
What I make of it: the data agrees with itself more than it argues, and that counts for something. It still falls short of proof.
The bull case
- Structure setup with a measured path to $21.34
The bear case
- Backdrop: Neutral (bias -8)
- Failed sweeps are not remembered
The detail that changes the read
What I think traders are overlooking is the volume. Price can drift to a level on almost nothing, and what it does there needs real participation. Without it, a break is easy to fade.
That part doesn't show up on the chart.
The call, and the line that breaks it
If $BITX posts a retest of the demand block $18.11 to $18.90 that holds and volume expands, I think $21.34 becomes the next serious test. Under $17.77, I'm wrong.
The honest objection is selection bias. Sweeps that worked get remembered and the ones that failed don't, so any chart can be annotated into a story afterward.
So the plan is simple. Wait for the level, wait for the volume, and respect the line.
Kill switch
Any one of these and the thesis is over, no averaging down, no renaming it.
- A close through $17.77.
- Selling absorbs the buying at a key level and price loses it on volume.
- Order flow reverses: the sweeps and blocks turn to the other side.
- A scheduled event changes the picture before the trigger is reached.
Where I land
I'm neutral until the stock gives me a reason. The level is clear and so is the line that proves me wrong, so there's nothing to do until one of them gets tested.
Desk record. 5 of 13 scenario targets traded before their invalidation (38%), 8 stopped out, 0 ran out of time, average outcome +9.73% per piece. Past pieces say nothing about this one.
The desk's scenario leans bullish. Bull or bear, the kill switch above is what keeps either view honest.
