$MARA Took the Lows, Then Took Them Back. What Comes Next Points to $16.50
Price visited the stops, collected them and came back. My read on what that sequence implies for MARA Holdings, Inc. Common Stock.

Listen: hear this article read aloud (about 2 min).
Price in MARA Holdings, Inc. Common Stock went where the stops were, then left. That isn't noise.
$MARA sits at $6.61, $4.73 below its 20-day high of $11.34 and $0.24 above its 20-day low of $6.37.
My read: neutral, waiting on confirmation. I want confirmation before I call a direction.
A sweep and a reversal
Against its own 60-session range, $MARA is 52.7% below the high of $13.98 (Sep 21) and 3.8% above the low of $6.37 (Nov 2).
$MARA closed higher in 3 of its last 9 sessions. Volume over the last five sessions averaged 1.1x the twenty sessions before them. The largest one-day move in the past twenty sessions was -9.7% on Oct 14.
Break of structure down through $6.62 on the daily chart.
Liquidity sweep: price ran the lows at $6.62 and closed back inside the range.
What I make of it: stops sit at obvious levels, and a sweep shows they were collected. What price does next shows whether the move was a trap or a start.
Who is positioned for what
Off-exchange trading: QUIET: no block prints, 39% off-exchange. No block-size prints (10,000+ shares or $1M+) in this window. Off-exchange volume is spread across small prints, which is what internalized retail flow looks like. In options, dealers long gamma, call wall $7.00, put wall $6.00, gamma flip near $6.50, hedge pressure 0% of an average day's volume. Days to cover 3.2, 111.9M shares short, short interest +11.1% since the last report.
Squeeze risk 7 of 100; shorts pressing 79 of 100.
Across the broader market, the read is Neutral (bias +6). Sentiment readings show neutral (-3 of 100).
What I make of it: the data agrees with itself more than it argues, and that counts for something. It still falls short of proof.
The bull case
- Structure setup with a measured path to $16.50
The bear case
- Backdrop: Neutral (bias +6)
- Failed sweeps are not remembered
What I think traders are overlooking
What I think traders are overlooking is how close the call wall sits to my target. The strike where the calls are stacked can pull price toward it or pin it there, and that makes it a level to watch, not a prediction.
None of that is visible in the candles.
What happens next, and when I'm out
If $MARA posts a retest of the supply block $12.97 to $13.97 that holds and volume expands, I think $16.50 becomes the next serious test. Under $6.55, I'm wrong.
The honest objection is selection bias. Sweeps that worked get remembered and the ones that failed don't, so any chart can be annotated into a story afterward.
Clear the level on volume and I'm interested. Fail below the line and I'm out of the idea.
Kill switch
Any one of these and the thesis is over, no averaging down, no renaming it.
- A close through $6.55.
- Selling absorbs the buying at a key level and price loses it on volume.
- Order flow reverses: the sweeps and blocks turn to the other side.
- A scheduled event changes the picture before the trigger is reached.
My read
I'm neutral until the stock gives me a reason. The level is clear and so is the line that proves me wrong, so there's nothing to do until one of them gets tested.
Desk record. 22 of 124 scenario targets traded before their invalidation (18%), 68 stopped out, 34 ran out of time, average outcome +1.19% per piece. Past pieces say nothing about this one.
The desk's scenario leans bullish. Bull or bear, the kill switch above is what keeps either view honest.
