Someone Is Quietly Working Size in $BEG. Here's What the Prints Show
Sweeps and blocks aren't how retail trades. My read on who is in Leverage Shares 2x Long BE Daily ETF and how big they are.

Listen: hear this article read aloud (about 2 min).
The chart on Leverage Shares 2x Long BE Daily ETF looks ordinary. The prints behind it don't.
$BEG sits at $17.88, $31.02 below its 20-day high of $48.90 and $4.77 above its 20-day low of $13.11.
My read: lean bullish. Buyers are close enough to force the issue, but I want volume before I call it a breakout.
What the prints show
Against its own 60-session range, $BEG is 69.9% below the high of $59.50 (Sep 29) and 36.4% above the low of $13.11 (Nov 5). $BEG closed higher in 4 of its last 9 sessions.
Volume over the last five sessions averaged 1.8x the twenty sessions before them. The largest one-day move in the past twenty sessions was -32.8% on Nov 5.
514 intermarket sweeps today, 414 on the buy side: orders that hit several exchanges at once, the signature of someone who wants size now.
50% of the volume printed off-exchange against a typical 40%: dark pools are busier than the lit book.
What I make of it: large orders are slow to hide, and a buyer working size leaves a trail in the prints before it shows up on the chart.
What the market looks to be pricing in
Order-flow analysis classifies the activity as markup, buyers in control, strength 100 of 100. Markup: the positioned side is now paying up and price is moving with the flow. Pullbacks into the map levels below are where they add. Off-exchange trading: NORMAL: no block prints, 50% off-exchange. No block-size prints (10,000+ shares or $1M+) in this window. Off-exchange volume is spread across small prints, which is what internalized retail flow looks like.
Days to cover 1.0, 79K shares short, short interest +445.6% since the last report.
Squeeze risk 16 of 100; shorts pressing 57 of 100. Across the broader market, the read is Neutral (bias +0). On the daily chart, technical patterns include Broadening Formation, spinning_top, bullish_marubozu in a down trend.
What I make of it: the pieces mostly point the same way as the price, which is more than I can say for most setups. None of them is proof.
The bull case
- Tape setup with a measured path to $36.96
- Order-flow read: markup, buyers in control, strength 100 of 100
The bear case
- Backdrop: Neutral (bias +0)
- Large trades can be hedges
The part nobody is talking about
What I think traders are overlooking is how little room the thesis needs. The line that proves it wrong is close and the level it points to is not, which is the kind of imbalance I like to see.
The price alone doesn't show it.
If I'm right, and what proves me wrong
If $BEG posts the tape staying one-sided for another session (buy sweeps and blocks) and volume expands, I think $36.96 becomes the next serious test. Under $16.81, I'm wrong.
The honest objection is that prints don't carry intent. Large trades can be hedges or rebalances, and the tick rule misreads direction often enough to matter.
That's the whole trade: a level to clear, a line that proves me wrong, and not much in between.
Kill switch
Any one of these and the thesis is over, no averaging down, no renaming it.
- A close through $16.81.
- Selling absorbs the buying at a key level and price loses it on volume.
- Order flow reverses: the sweeps and blocks turn to the other side.
- A scheduled event changes the picture before the trigger is reached.
What I'm watching
Buyers are close enough to force the issue. I want the volume before I call it anything more than a lean.
Desk record. 30 of 161 scenario targets traded before their invalidation (19%), 86 stopped out, 45 ran out of time, average outcome +0.83% per piece. Past pieces say nothing about this one.
The desk's scenario leans bullish. Bull or bear, the kill switch above is what keeps either view honest.
