Stops Taken in $MU: Why I Think the Next Leg Targets $1108.72
Price visited the stops, collected them and came back. My read on what that sequence implies for Micron Technology.

Listen: hear this article read aloud (about 2 min).
Micron Technology just ran the obvious level, took the stops and reversed.
$MU sits at $901.00, $188.22 below its 20-day high of $1089.22 and $51.75 above its 20-day low of $849.25.
My read: neutral, waiting on confirmation. I want confirmation before I call a direction.
The stops that got taken
Against its own 60-session range, $MU is 18.7% below the high of $1108.72 (Sep 25) and 6.7% above the low of $844.62 (Aug 11).
$MU closed higher in 5 of its last 9 sessions. Volume over the last five sessions was in line with the twenty sessions before them (1.0x). The largest one-day move in the past twenty sessions was -6.3% on Oct 22.
Change of character up through $928.45 on the daily chart.
Liquidity sweep: price ran the highs at $930.88 and closed back inside the range.
What I make of it: stops sit at obvious levels, and a sweep shows they were collected. What price does next shows whether the move was a trap or a start.
What is already in the price
Off-exchange trading: QUIET: no block prints, 16% off-exchange. No block-size prints (10,000+ shares or $1M+) in this window. Off-exchange volume is spread across small prints, which is what internalized retail flow looks like. Squeeze risk 0 of 100; shorts pressing 67 of 100. Across the broader market, the read is Neutral (bias +11).
Insiders: quiet.
On the daily chart, technical patterns include inside_bar, bearish_marubozu, bullish_belt_hold in a down trend. Price is below its 20-day average of $950.61 by 5.2%.
What I make of it: the pieces mostly point the same way as the price, which is more than I can say for most setups. None of them is proof.
The bull case
- Structure setup with a measured path to $1108.72
The bear case
- Backdrop: Neutral (bias +11)
- Charts can be annotated after the fact
The detail that changes the read
What I think traders are overlooking is the volume. Price can drift to a level on almost nothing, and what it does there needs real participation. Without it, a break is easy to fade.
That part doesn't show up on the chart.
The call, and the line that breaks it
If $MU posts a retest of the supply block $1011.42 to $1089.22 that holds and volume expands, I think $1108.72 becomes the next serious test. Under $921.57, I'm wrong.
The honest objection is selection bias. Sweeps that worked get remembered and the ones that failed don't, so any chart can be annotated into a story afterward.
So the plan is simple. Wait for the level, wait for the volume, and respect the line.
Kill switch
Any one of these and the thesis is over, no averaging down, no renaming it.
- A close through $921.57.
- Selling absorbs the buying at a key level and price loses it on volume.
- Order flow reverses: the sweeps and blocks turn to the other side.
- A scheduled event changes the picture before the trigger is reached.
Where I land
No edge yet, and I'd rather say so than invent one. The confirmation is the trade.
Desk record. 18 of 103 scenario targets traded before their invalidation (17%), 56 stopped out, 29 ran out of time, average outcome +1.65% per piece. Past pieces say nothing about this one.
The desk's scenario leans bullish. Bull or bear, the kill switch above is what keeps either view honest.
