$AMDL: Stops Taken, Structure Broken, $71.33 in View

Price visited the stops, collected them and came back. My read on what that sequence implies for $AMDL.

$AMDL: Stops Taken, Structure Broken, $71.33 in View

Listen: hear this article read aloud (about 2 min).

Price in $AMDL went where the stops were, then left. That isn't noise.

$AMDL sits at $64.85, $26.31 below its 20-day high of $91.16 and $13.20 above its 20-day low of $51.65.

My read: neutral, waiting on confirmation. I want confirmation before I call a direction.

What the sweep left behind

Against its own 60-session range, $AMDL is 28.9% below the high of $91.16 (Oct 6) and 52.8% above the low of $42.45 (Sep 3). $AMDL closed higher in 6 of its last 9 sessions.

Volume over the last five sessions was in line with the twenty sessions before them (1.0x). The largest one-day move in the past twenty sessions was -16.2% on Oct 22.

Change of character up through $63.98 on the daily chart.

Liquidity sweep: price ran the highs at $63.98 and closed back inside the range.

What I make of it: stops sit at obvious levels, and a sweep shows they were collected. What price does next shows whether the move was a trap or a start.

What the market looks to be pricing in

Off-exchange trading: NORMAL: no block prints, 53% off-exchange. No block-size prints (10,000+ shares or $1M+) in this window. Off-exchange volume is spread across small prints, which is what internalized retail flow looks like. Days to cover 1.0, 1.5M shares short, short interest -4.7% since the last report.

Squeeze risk 2 of 100; shorts pressing 87 of 100.

Across the broader market, the read is Neutral (bias -6). On the daily chart, technical patterns include Rising Wedge, Double Bottom, doji in a down trend. Price is below its 20-day average of $70.27 by 7.7%.

What I make of it: the data agrees with itself more than it argues, and that counts for something. It still falls short of proof.

The bull case

  • Structure setup with a measured path to $71.33

The bear case

  • Backdrop: Neutral (bias -6)
  • Failed sweeps are not remembered

The part nobody is talking about

What I think traders are overlooking is the volume. Price can drift to a level on almost nothing, and what it does there needs real participation. Without it, a break is easy to fade.

The price alone doesn't show it.

If I'm right, and what proves me wrong

If $AMDL posts a retest of the demand block $51.65 to $57.93 that holds and volume expands, I think $71.33 becomes the next serious test. Under $63.34, I'm wrong.

The honest objection is selection bias. Sweeps that worked get remembered and the ones that failed don't, so any chart can be annotated into a story afterward.

That's the whole trade: a level to clear, a line that proves me wrong, and not much in between.

Kill switch

Any one of these and the thesis is over, no averaging down, no renaming it.

  • A close through $63.34.
  • Selling absorbs the buying at a key level and price loses it on volume.
  • Order flow reverses: the sweeps and blocks turn to the other side.
  • A scheduled event changes the picture before the trigger is reached.

What I'm watching

I'm neutral until the stock gives me a reason. The level is clear and so is the line that proves me wrong, so there's nothing to do until one of them gets tested.

Desk record. 12 of 57 scenario targets traded before their invalidation (21%), 31 stopped out, 14 ran out of time, average outcome +2.34% per piece. Past pieces say nothing about this one.

The desk's scenario leans bullish. Bull or bear, the kill switch above is what keeps either view honest.
