Stops Taken in $PAGS: Why I Think the Next Leg Targets $9.48
Price visited the stops, collected them and came back. My read on what that sequence implies for $PAGS.

Listen: hear this article read aloud (about 2 min).
Price in $PAGS went where the stops were, then left. That isn't noise.
$PAGS sits at $8.62, $3.14 below its 20-day high of $11.76 and $1.12 above its 20-day low of $7.50.
My read: lean bullish. Buyers are close enough to force the issue, but I want volume before I call it a breakout.
A sweep and a reversal
Against its own 60-session range, $PAGS is 26.7% below the high of $11.76 (Oct 20) and 14.9% above the low of $7.50 (Oct 26). $PAGS closed higher in 4 of its last 9 sessions.
Volume over the last five sessions was in line with the twenty sessions before them (1.0x). The largest one-day move in the past twenty sessions was -25.8% on Oct 26.
Change of character down through $10.55 on the daily chart.
Liquidity sweep: price ran the lows at $8.22 and closed back inside the range.
What I make of it: stops sit at obvious levels, and a sweep shows they were collected. What price does next shows whether the move was a trap or a start.
Who is positioned for what
Off-exchange trading: NORMAL: $794K block at $8.47, -36% yesterday's biggest. Biggest single off-exchange print: 93,703 shares at $8.47, about $794K, on a downtick (seller hit). A print that size is one order being crossed away from the public book, not a crowd of small trades. Squeeze risk 0 of 100; shorts pressing 100 of 100.
Across the broader market, the read is Neutral (bias +7).
Insiders: quiet. On the daily chart, technical patterns include spinning_top, spinning_top, hanging_man in a up trend. Price is below its 20-day average of $10.51 by 18.0%.
What I make of it: the data agrees with itself more than it argues, and that counts for something. It still falls short of proof.
The bull case
- Structure setup with a measured path to $9.48
The bear case
- Backdrop: Neutral (bias +7)
- Failed sweeps are not remembered
What I think traders are overlooking
What I think traders are overlooking is the volume. Price can drift to a level on almost nothing, and what it does there needs real participation. Without it, a break is easy to fade.
None of that is visible in the candles.
What happens next, and when I'm out
If $PAGS posts a retest of the supply block $11.20 to $11.76 that holds and volume expands, I think $9.48 becomes the next serious test. Under $8.14, I'm wrong.
The honest objection is selection bias. Sweeps that worked get remembered and the ones that failed don't, so any chart can be annotated into a story afterward.
Clear the level on volume and I'm interested. Fail below the line and I'm out of the idea.
Kill switch
Any one of these and the thesis is over, no averaging down, no renaming it.
- A close through $8.14.
- Selling absorbs the buying at a key level and price loses it on volume.
- Order flow reverses: the sweeps and blocks turn to the other side.
- A scheduled event changes the picture before the trigger is reached.
My read
I lean higher, not loudly. The setup earns the lean and not the conviction, and it gets the conviction only when volume shows up.
Desk record. 8 of 35 scenario targets traded before their invalidation (23%), 21 stopped out, 6 ran out of time, average outcome +2.09% per piece. Past pieces say nothing about this one.
The desk's scenario leans bullish. Bull or bear, the kill switch above is what keeps either view honest.
